Argggh! This is simply not right!

A sign hanging from a drop ceiling with fluorescent lighting fixtures.  There are two rows of text, in a medium-weight Helvetica-like font.  To the left of the text, in a red box with white text, are two rows of symbols, aligned with the two rows of text.  The first row has a baggage icon, and a bold white arrow pointing to the right.  The second row has a bold white arrow pointing to the left.  The first row of text reads, Baggage Claim A · B · C.  The second row reads, Baggage Claim 4.

Why would they do this?
