Installing on a PC with USB drive

  1. Download the new distribution

    Download Debian iso file. This document is based on Debian Trixie (13).

  2. Make USB Stick

    Download the iso

    Burn it with usb-creator-gtk, not as root.

  3. Install on PC

    Reboot to the USB drive and do a normal installation. This document is based on minimum install plus ssh and system utility packages. It assumes networking, including wifi, is set up during installation.
