Chapter 12.  Keyboard

Note

Note that these instructions are for the Hardware tab inside the Keyboard row underneath the title Keyboard within the Keyboard module in System Settings.

  1. Keyboard » Hardware

    Change Keyboard Repeat → Delay to 310ms

  2. Keyboard » Layouts

    In Layouts sub-tab:

    1. + Add English (US) non-Dvorak

    2. Relabel Dvorak to dv

  3. Keyboard » Key Bendings

    Enable Configure keyboard Options and set Position of Compose key to Caps Lock

    Note

    The configuration file for the compose key is /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose.

  4. Shortcuts

    Import the shortcut file S_standard_shortcuts_2.kksrc.

    On a laptop, import single_screen_minimal.kksrc.
